Today Gatorade took its own swing.
Its ad agency roped off a section around Yankee Stadium and let The Captain roam free.
Jeter asked that it be about him thanking fans. He even suggested the accompanying tune (If you guessed “New York, New York” you’re close….).
The looks on peoples’ faces were genuine, the commercial’s producers said.:
Gatorade is following with a full-page print ad written by Jeter in the New York Daily News and Sports Illustrated on Sept. 28-29, the weekend of his final game — at Boston.
