Tanker tips on Route 59 near Nanuet mall

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: An overturned fuel tanker truck shut down Route 59 in Nanuet this afternoon.

The highway was to remain closed at least until 3:30 p.m. from Middletown Road to Smith Street following the 12:45 p.m. crash a block east of the Shops at Nanuet (formerly the Nanuet Mall).

The fuel tanker from NorthEastern Fuel has a 5,000-gallon capacity and is believed to be carrying 3,000 gallons. READ MORE ….
