Police rule death of man who fell from escalator at Palisades Center mall an accident

UPDATE: Authorities today confirmed that the death of a 54-year-old group home resident in a fall from an escalator at the Palisades Center mall in Rockland County was an accident.

Clarkstown detectives said they reviewed video that showed the developmentally disabled New York Foundling Home resident falling from the third to the first level yesterday morning.

He apparently lost his balance getting onto the up escalator and was pushed over the railing by the hand rail. READ MORE….
