FBI: Bandit caught, connected to 20 bank robberies

Luis Alomar, 37, was arrested around 2:30 a.m. today in the Long Island town of Medford, a day after the FBI identified him as armed and dangerous.

Alomar is believed to have ties to both to Mastic and Shirley, L.I., and southern Florida — specifically Palm Beach County, Kissimmee, and Osceola County.

He has used several aliases, including Arturo Alomar, Luis Arturo, David Diaz, David Gonzalez, Louis Alomar and Luis Castillo, the FBI said.
