Cresskill Boy, 9, Struck By SUV Critical

CRESSKILL, N.J. -- A 9-year-old Cresskill boy remained hospitalized in critical condition Thursday after being struck by an SUV driven by a 69-year-old River Vale woman.

An investigation was continuing.

The boy was crossing from the east to west side of Rose Street near Margie Avenue when the vehicle, headed north on Rose, struck him just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sgt. Jason Lanzilotti told Daily Voice.

Police gave the driver a summons for careless driving, Lanzilotti said.
