An NYPD helicopter joined rescue teams in extricating the woman from a steep cliffside area of washed-out stone 200 feet above the shoreline.

The hiker, Amanda Graham, slipped on a rock and fell a short distance before grabbing onto a rock and pulling herself up.

After Piermont firefighters were unable to reach her from below, two choppers were called in. They got her into a Stokes basket and out.

The chopper flew her from there to a baseball field in Piermont, where a waiting ambulance whisked her to Nyack Hospital just before 4:30 p.m.
