The boy, “who most likely wasn’t wearing a seatbelt,” was sitting with a 9-year-old girl in the back of a Toyota Sienna that collided with a older model two-door Acura that blew a stop sign on West Street at Harrington Avenue just after 1 p.m., Police Sgt. Thomas Brueck said.
The Sienna, which had a 36-year-old female driver and male passenger in front, rolled over before coming to rest nose-up on a fire hydrant.
All four occupants were taken to the hospital, Brueck said.
Neither the Acura driver nor his 11-year-old passenger was injured, he said.
Both driver were given summonses, the sergeant said.
An investigation was continuing.
