Steeped in a rather traditional culinary background, Jean Layton went on to get a doctorate in naturopathic medicine and began exploring how to heal the body with food after her first husband died of Burkitt’s Lymphoma, she says on her blog, "Dr. Jean Layton, Health Guidance from a Doctor who Cares."
Her second husband's master's in oriental medicine, the birth of her twin daughters, combined with her own health issues, led her to study Celiac's Disease and gluten-free living.
She now runs a practice to help those with dietary needs and unresolved health issues. Layton's blog is filled with information and gluten-free recipes, as well as practical advice.
She consults in person and over the phone, and offers blood screening analysis.
She is also the co-author of "Gluten-Free Baking for Dummies" published by John Wiley and Sons.
See her blog for more information or her Facebook or Twitter page.
