Several Bergen Locales Named To NJ Most Family Friendly Towns

ORADELL, N.J. -- Oradell was named topped a list of New Jersey's most family friendly towns by New Jersey Family.

Jersey Family compiled data from 508 towns within the Garden State to produce its rankings. 

“We heavily weighted things like school quality and safety in our 2016 algorithm, but we also looked at quality of life factors like average commute time and whether grocery stores and entertainment options were nearby,” Liz Zack, New Jersey Family’s Editorial Director said in a statement.

Other Bergen County towns to crack the top 50 include:

  • River Edge, No. 13
  • Harrington Park, No. 15
  • Closter, No. 17
  • Old Tappan, No. 18
  • Demarest, No. 21
  • Upper Saddle River, No. 29
  • Glen Rock, No. 30
  • Cresskill, No. 32
  • Norwood, No. 33
  • Alpine, No. 40
  • Northvale, No. 42
  • Hillsdale, No. 43
  • Allendale, No. 44
  • Tenafly, No. 49.
