Well-socialized dogs can take a yoga class with their owners. Promoted as a way for people to bond with their pets, doga is a team activity.
In a typical doga class, owners perform poses while guiding their dogs into basic positions. In some cases, pooches can be used as props. A small dog can be balanced on the thigh in Warrior pose for example.
There may be drool, fur and noise, but doga enthusiasts have touted the practice as a way to relax and spend more time with their pets.
Cost is $25 per couple and class runs from 4-5 p.m.
To prepare for class,
- Take dogs on a long walk before class
- Bring a small leash for your dog to wear during class
- Bring a yoga mat for your and your dog to share
- All dogs will get a special treat at the end of class.
