Reuven participated in several cover operations, including a hostage-rescue mission code-named "Operation Thunderbolt," which rescued Jewish hostages being held by terrorists in Uganda.

"His story is Israel's story: of courage, endurance, defiance and a willingness to sacrifice it all for the right to live in your homeland in freedom," organizers noted.

The discussion will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Promenade of Temple Emanu-El of Closter, located at 180 Piermont Rd., in Closter. The event is co-sponsored by Shira and Robert Feuerstein; Allyson and Steven Lash; Tina and Mitchell Lieberman; and the Solomon Schechter Day School.
