The schedule is as follows:
- 8:30 a.m. Leroy S. Mead Post 111, American Legion Memorial Service atVeterans Monument Park (Herbert Avenue and Closter Dock Road)
- 9:00 a.m. Closter Fire Department Service at 100 Ruckman Road
- 9:30 a.m. Assembly in the St. Mary’s Church parking area
- 10 a.m. Memorial Day Parade
The parade begins on Legion Place at High Street, and continues east onto High Street to Closter Dock Road. Then, participants will bear left and proceed north on Closter Dock Road, before heading west on Harrington Avenue.
The parade will conclude at Veteran's Memorial Park.
The Mayor’s trophy will be awarded to the parade group that displays the most innovative use of red, white and blue.
The event is hosted by the Leroy S. Mead American Legion Post 111; Closter Elks Lodge 2304; and the borough.
Closter officials request residents to join in the community’s spirit and commitment by lining the streets along the parade route and displaying American flags.
