Target To Open New Store At Closter Plaza

CLOSTER, N.J. -- Target has announced it will open a 45,000-square-foot store in Closter Plaza, a shopping center on Vervalen Street currently undergoing redevelopment.

The new store will be the retail chain's first "flexible format" location in New Jersey.

The flexible format stores are located in generally denser, urban areas.

Currently, the closest Target locations to Closter are in Hackensack and Paramus.

Target officials said they plan to hire 90 workers for the new venue.

Aside from Target, Closter Plaza will be anchored by Whole Foods.

The plaza will also include Home Goods, along with restaurants Distrito, Village Whiskey and Bareburger.
