Wayne Teens Killed In Crash Were Fleeing Cops In NY: Authorities A pair of Wayne Hills High School students who died in a crash last week had been trying to flee from police during a traffic stop in New York, authorities announced. Christian A. Enrico, 17, was heading north on Route 8 in Guilford, NY when a Chenango County Sheriff’s Deputy tried to pull him over around 9:40 p.m. on Friday, March 31, according to a release from New York State Police. Enrico failed to comply, continuing into the Otsego County Town of Butternuts, where he left the roadway and struck several trees, police said. The crash occurred at the intersection of State Route…

Christian Enrico and Liam Pakonis, both students at Wayne Hills High School, died in an accident on Friday, March 31, according to school and local officials. Crash details were not immediately released. Liam was a member of the Wayne Hills Swim team, and services for Christian had been set as of Sunday, April 2. This is a developing news story. Website Names Best Public NJ High Schools For Sports The website Niche has released its ranking of the best public high schools for sports, with football powerhouse Wayne Hills clocking in at No. 1.  Pascack Valley High School,  River Dell and Ramapo also made the top 10.  Niche based its rankings mostly on millions of parent and student surveys, which made up 50 percent of the grade.
