A 25-year-old New York man was killed in a crash on Route 284 in Sussex County on the afternoon of Sunday, Nov. 17, authorities said. At 2:02 p.m., a Chevrolet passenger vehicle, driven by Andrew Slagle, an Orange County resident from Westtown, was traveling northbound on Route 284 in Wantage Township when it veered off the roadway to the right, struck several trees and overturned, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Authorities have released the identity of the man killed in a hit-and-run crash in Bergen County on Friday night, Oct 11 — the county's second fatal hit-and-run accident a pedestrian in 24 hours. Paul Adams, whose last known address was in Wyckoff, was struck on Godwin Avenue near Witte Drive in Midland Park just before 7:10 p.m., Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. A Long Island man was killed when his car crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. A West New York man was killed when he struck a guardrail on the New Jersey Turnpike with his motorcycle Saturday, State Police said. Agustin G. Amendola, 22, was leaving the Turnpike at Exit 16E in Secaucus around 10:40 a.m. when he hit the guardrail and was thrown from the bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene. In a tragic coincidence, he is one of two young men killed on the Turnpike Saturday from Hudson County. A North Bergen man, also aged 22, died in a crash in Burlington County later that day.

Motorcyclist Killed After Collision With Car On Route 20 In Paterson
A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a sedan on southbound Route 20 in Paterson early Saturday evening, authorities said. Miguel Soto, 30, of Paterson was pronounced dead a half hour after his 2008 Honda CBR made contact with a 2008 Acura MDX driven by a 70-year-old Wayne man and spun out near Park Avenue, authorities said Sunday.
