The deejay told police he was jacked near the intersection of Summit and Newark avenues, up the street from Journal Square, shortly after 3:30 a.m. Sunday, June 9. Marvin Lara, 39, was behind the wheel of a Toyota RAV4 when he struck the bicycle -- occupied by two people -- on Summit and Jewitt avenues on Jan. 8 around 8:30 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Covid-19: Jersey City MVC Agency Closed After Worker Tests Positive A state Motor Vehicle Commissions agency in Jersey City closed on Monday after an employee tested positive for COVID-19. The Summit Avenue agency only handles transactions, and will remain shut until Oct. 6, the agency said in a tweet. Lawrence Smith was arrested Monday morning in connection with the Nov. 23, 2019 incident, that injured a 50-year-old woman and her 22-year-old son, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said.
