Security At Westmount Country Club Nabs Juvenile Worker With Loaded Gun
A 17-year-old employee at the Westmount Country Club got caught bringing a loaded gun to work, authorities said. Security at the banquet hall off Rifle Camp Road seized the boy, the handgun and a magazine loaded with hollow-point bullets, Woodland Park Police Capt. Michael Brady said. They turned all over to responding officers, he said. Woodland Park police signed a delinquency complaint charging the teen with weapons-related offenses, the captain said. Motorcyclist Killed In Woodland Park Crash ID'd
A motorcyclist who was killed in a weekend crash in Woodland Park was identified Monday as a 42-year-old local resident. The single-vehicle crash occurred when the motorcycle left the roadway on Rifle Camp Road outside the Garrett Park Estates shortly before 10:25 p.m. Sunday, responders said. The Passaic County Sheriff's Office responded along with the West Paterson First Aid Squad. Javier Sanchez was later pronounced dead at St. Joseph's University Medical Center, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Woman Found Dead In Backyard Woodland Park Pool
Woodland Park police were investigating the death of a woman found face down in a backyard swimming pool. Responding officers found a man holding the body of the 69-year-old victim above the water at the Rifle Camp Road home near the Great Notch Reservoir shortly before 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Capt. Michael Brady said. The officers "pulled the female from the water, checked her vital signs, and unfortunately found no signs of life," Brady said. Gunman Robs Woodland Park 7-Eleven
A gunman robbed a 7-Eleven in Woodland Park earlier this week, authorities confirmed. The armed robber entered the Rifle Camp Road convenience store and demanded cash just before midnight Tuesday, March 22. He fled with $500.
