Police in Garfield are searching for a group of armed robbers who they say rummaged through a victim's vehicle and stole items. The incident happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, when the victim was standing outside of their vehicle on 3 Westervelt Pl., Garfield Police Capt. Mario Pozo said. Four occupants in a black Honda Accord got out of their vehicle and approached the victim, the captain said. Three of the four occupants were armed with handguns. NY Man, 26, Charged Twin Sister's Teaneck Murder: Prosecutor
A 26-year-old New York man has been charged with murder in the Thursday, Aug. 15 death of his twin sister, authorities said. Jonathan Hagley shot and killed Naomi Hagley in a home on Hickory Street around 8:25 a.m., Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Naomi was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead, her twin brother fled the scene, Musella said. Hagley was found several blocks away by Bogota police, Musella said. Scrap Metal Company VP, 24, Killed In Jersey Shore Weekend Crash
The vice president of a scrap metal company died in a crash in Ocean County, authorities said. Kevin Scoda, 24, of Edison, was killed in the crash on Route 72, the Stafford Township Police Department said in a news release on Tuesday, July 23. Authorities in Morris County are investigating the death of a 6-month-old infant on Wednesday, July 17. Police are investigating a crash at a busy Westwood intersection that knocked an SUV onto its roof. No serious injuries were immediately reported when a Dodge RAM pickup truck t-boned a GMC Yukon at the corner of Broadway and Irvington Street, next to the NJ Transit tracks, shortly after 8:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15.
