Wayne, Mount Olive, High Point and Prospect Park schools had an early dismissal. Students at the Samuel R. Donald School in Bloomingdale were evacuated and transferred via bus to another school. Clifton canceled outdoor recess and after-school activities. Dover canceled all outdoor activities. Alyssa's Law: Panic Alarms May Go In New Jersey Schools A proposed bill to install panic alarms and red emergency lights in New Jersey schools honors former Woodcliff Lake teen Alyssa Alhadeff who died in the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Fla. The bill (A-764) was passed Monday by the Assembly Education Committee in Trenton. "Alyssa's Law" requires all public elementary and secondary schools be equipped with a panic alarm for use in a school security emergencies including evacuations, lockdowns or active shooter situations.
