Christmas Eve Murder: Son Charged With Killing Dad In Morris County
A Morris County son is accused of killing his dad on Sunday, Dec. 24, authorities said.
Kyle Meyer, 33, is believed to have killed his dad, 61-year-old Gregory Meyer, was found dead in the home the two shared around 1:15 p.m. on Old Denville Road in Boonton Township, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll said.
Kyle was found in Paterson around 9 p.m., Carroll said alongside Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, Morris County Sheriff James Gannon, and Boonton Township Police Chief Thomas Cacciabeve.

NJ Man Arrested For Selling Heroin, Coke Hours After Parole Release Under Murphy COVID Law
A Sussex County man was arrested for selling heroin and crack cocaine, just hours after being released from parole supervision last week, authorities said.
Leighton A. Brown, 42, of Newton, was arrested at his home last Wednesday, and charged with distribution of heroin and crack cocaine, as well as selling CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone, police said.
Brown was released from parole supervision on Nov. 4, under Gov. Murphy’s COVID-19 law that reduced and ended parole time, police said.
He was being held at Morris County Jail in accordance with the Criminal Justice Reform Act.

Authorities: Accused NJ Armed Robber Among Pair Who Used Drugs To Force Woman Into Prostitution
Two men including one arrested for an armed robbery have been charged with using drugs to force a woman into prostitution for more than month in North Jersey, authorities said.
William Wilson, 47, of Belvidere, NJ and Jeremiah Forde, 39, of Budd Lake, forced the adult female into acts of prostitution out of a Hanover hotel, then collected the proceeds, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp, Acting Chief of Investigations Christoph Kimker, Hanover Police Chief Mark Roddy said.

Police: Ex-Con Was Masked Gunman Who Robbed Clifton QuickChek
CLIFTON, N.J. -- An Essex County ex-con was the armed robber who held up a QuickChek in Clifton's Allwood section last December, said authorities who charged him with the crime.
Wearing a covering over his face, Tione Davis, 35, of East Orange, fled with an undetermined amount of cash from the register after the 4 a.m. robbery of the Market Street convenience store on Dec. 11, Detective Lt. Robert Bracken said.
