Many beaches along the Garden State's coast require badges or tags. They help pay the costs of maintaining beaches, hiring lifeguards, and keeping facilities in great shape for summer tourists. Nude Beach Ranked Among NJ's Best Secret Beaches
It's no longer a secret. Three Jersey Shore sites have made a list of the top “100 secret beaches” in the United States, according to the Family Destinations Guide. And you probably won't want to bring children to one of them: It's New Jersey's only nudist beach. The Guide said it surveyed 3,000 families nationwide to compose a list of hidden beaches that people liked the most. It's that time of the yea: Time to buy beach badges or plan where you'll spend your free time this summer. The 130 miles of Jersey Shore offers about 50 public beaches to choose from. Daily, weekly and seasonal beach badge and tag prices have been set for the 2023 season. The highest seasonal fee at $150 is in Deal. Woman Caught In Rip Tide Drowns At Island Beach State Park: Report
The body of a 59-year-old swimmer was recovered after being swept away by a rip tide off the Jersey Shore, NJ Advance Media reported. The woman's body was found at 11:05 a.m. Tuesday, June 14 at Island Beach State Park after she went missing Monday night while with her husband, the outlet said, quoting the U.S. Coast Guard and State Park Police. Monday afternoon, June 13, a 24-year-old Lake Hopatcong man died after being pulled from the water by lifeguards while swimming off Belmar Beach. : Murphy Waives Summer State Park Entrance Fee
As of Memorial Day Weekend, entry to all New Jersey state parks, forests, and recreation areas will be free of charge for the entire summer, according to Gov. Phil Murphy. The one-year state parks fee holiday is one of several fee waivers included in this year's budget, he said. Park entrance fees will be waived for all visitors, regardless of state residency. Remains Of Missing Glen Rock Man Recovered Off Jersey Shore
A days-long search ended tragically when the Coast Guard recovered the body of a missing Glen Rock man in the waters off the Jersey Shore, authorities said. The Ocean County Medical Examiner’s Office was conducting an autopsy to help determine how 26-year-old Kiariff Alston ended up two miles or so off Island Beach State Park in Barnegat Light, Glen Rock Police Chief Dean Ackermann said Friday.
