A wire downed in Thursday night's storm ignited two vehicles in the depot, filled with hundreds of new vehicles, next to Metro Fuel on Hudson Avenue near H Mart, authorities said. Firefighters found two vehicles fully involved with live wires arcing over them, blocking initial suppression efforts. Transformer Explosion KOs Power, Downs Wire In Bayonne The area of Avenue A and 4th Street in Bayonne was closed to vehicles and pedestrians after a transformer exploded downing live wires around 10:30 a.m. Monday, authorities said. PSEG was on scene for repairs as of 10:50 a.m., Bayonne police told Daily Voice. More than 270 PSEG customers were without power as of 11 a.m., according to the PSEG outage map.
