Bill Cosby's lawyer has asked the US Supreme Court in a 15-page letter on Monday not to reopen the criminal sexual assault case against him following a bid to do so, according to a report by the Associated Press. A Pennsylvania appeals court last June overturned the 84-year-old comedian's conviction, releasing him from prison after serving a three-year sentence. Bill Cosby is accused of drugging and raping a woman at an Atlantic City hotel in 1990, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday morning. Lili Bernard, who met Cosby on the set of “The Cosby Show," is accusing him of drugging and raping her in Atlantic City hotel on Aug. 1990, according to a lawsuit filed in New Jersey federal court Thursday. Bill Cosby has been released from a Philadelphia prison after the Pennsylvania state supreme court overturned his his conviction on Wednesday. COVID-19 concerns may have freed some lesser-known convicts but not Bill Cosby, Bernie Madoff or R. Kelly. Lawyers for Cosby appeared to have some help earlier this month when Pennsylvania Gov.
