Shawna A. Williams, 31, of Roosevelt in Nassau County took off when officers responded to the Chase Bank branch on Bergen Boulevard just before 6 p.m. Monday, police said.

She ran north on Bergen Boulevard before the officer grabbed her -- bruising his knee in the process, Deputy Chief Robert Meurer told Daily Voice. The officer declined treatment, he said.

Williams was released on a court summons.
