Eric Rivera was released pending a court hearing on drug distribution charges following the deal on Wednesday, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.
The investigation was conducted by members of the prosecutor's Narcotic Task Force and Cliffside Park police, Grewal said.
An Aug. 29 arraignment in Central Municipal Court in Hackensack was scheduled.
