Michael Gale and Gina Edwards, both 30-year-old food service employees at Hello Fresh in Newark, were charged with various drug counts after Wednesday’s raid at 20 Lawton Avenue, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said Thursday.

The raid followed an investigation by prosecutor’s detectives and borough police following a tip that the pair were selling drugs, he said.

Gale was ordered held in the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing and Edwards, a Teaneck native, was released pending a July 12 first appearance – both in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.

Grewal thanked the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team, the county sheriff’s K-9 unit and borough police for their assistance.
