Loaded gun, hollow-point bullets found in NY man’s Newark Airport carry-on

BEYOND BERGEN: A Woodstock, NY man was arrested by Port Authority police yesterday after screeners found a loaded gun in his carry-on bag.

The .32-caliber pistol — loaded with six rounds of hollow-point bullets — showed up on an X-ray machine, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo said this morning.

” There was no impact to airport operations” as PAPD officers took Gregory Soltanoff into custody on charges of weapons and illegal ammunition possession and confiscated the gun, Pentangelo said.
