Gym Owner From Fairview Charged In Child Sex Case

FAIRVIEW, N.J. – A 45-year-old gym owner from Fairview was ordered held on $50,000 bail after authorities charged him with inappropriately touching an underage girl.

Jason Cruize, who owns and operates the Box & Fitness Factory in West New York – and volunteers with a Jersey City youth boxing program – was charged with aggravated criminal sexual contact and child endangerment, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said.

Members of the prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit and Fairview police arrested Cruize on Tuesday after borough police received a complaint, Grewal said.

A first appearance was scheduled for Oct. 17 in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
