“I am a strong advocate of the National Rifle Association which I must remind you was our first and strongest Homeland Security,” Daniel Furesz, 60, wrote in his petition, obtained by CLIFFVIEW PILOT. “We survived being invaded by Japan because it was told to the Imperial Majesty of Japan that at least one out 3 families in California were armed.”
Furesz, an unemployed auto mechanic who apparently wanted to become a tractor-trailer driver, was arrested last night after police found more than 40 weapons, thousands of rounds of ammunition, a gas mask, a Kevlar vest and other implements of destruction that they said he’s stashed in his sister’s house.
CLIFFVIEW PILOT broke the story this morning, and developments keep coming in.
“[T]here has never been a known incident of a gun jumping off the shelf and shooting someone,” he wrote in his petition to Congress, supported by only four people. “I implore you to consider stricter enforcement of existing laws instead of making new ones that limit the ownership use and or purchase of new firearms in any caliber and or action. “
“Please let’s not try to re-invent the Wheel that our country revolves around. If we lose our Second Amendment Rights it would be like a broken spoke to a near perfect Wheel.”
