Officers Vito Venetucci and Po Ju Yoo grabbed 37-year-old Alfonzo Williams Jr. a short distance from the corner at Montgomery and Summit avenues following the 6 a.m. assault yesterday, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo said.
Witnesses on bicycles flagged them down, he said.
The woman declined medical attention, Pentangelo said.
Williams, who was charged with criminal sexual contact, has a criminal history in New Jersey and Georgia dating back nearly 20 years, records show.
It includes arrests for drug distribution, robbery, aggravated assault, repeated weapons offenses and being a fugitive, among other crimes.
