Edgewater police rescue heroin overdose victim with Narcan

SHOUT OUT: An Edgewater police officer rescued an overdosing heroin addict with Naracan last night. Officer Robert Carrano administered two doses, reviving the 33-year-old victim at the Edgewater Harbor Development, Police Chief William Skidmore told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.

The victim “was blue in the face with shallow breathing,” following the 10:19 p.m. call, Skidmore said.

He was taken to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, the chief said.
