Edgewater Man, 60, Collected, Shared Kiddie Porn, Authorities Charge

EDGEWATER, N.J. -- Detectives arrested a 60-year-old Edgewater man who they said was trafficking in child pornography.

Alfredo Vincente was taken into custody following a raid at his River Road apartment Thursday morning, acting Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said Friday.

Members of his Computer Crimes Unit seized files "that contained images and videos depicting child exploitation," Grewal said. "The continued investigation revealed that Vincente was using the Internet to distribute and acquire images and videos of child pornography utilizing a file sharing program."

Vincente, who is married and unemployed, remained held on $50,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with two counts of child endangerment for having and sharing the material, the prosecutor said.

A first appearance was scheduled for this coming Wednesda in Central Municipal Court in Hackensack.
