Rahmel Moody, whose father lives in Edgewater, and Gerald Glover, of Pittsfield, Mass., were wanted on attempted murder charges in connection with an April 26 home invasion in Glover’s hometown, authorities said.

A third fugitive is still

at large, said Pittsfield police.

Given the potential for violence, Bergen County Sheriff Leo P. McGuire was thankful that Tuesday morning’s captures at Harbor View Terrace went peacefully. His officers assisted in the arrests.

Moody and Glover, both 18, have court appearances today. Massachusetts authorities hope the extradition process goes just as smoothly. Pending charges against both men include attempted murder, assault and felony firearms possession.

The targeted invasion and assault occurred on a sunny Sunday afternoon, police in Pittsfield said.

Detectives there tracked down the pair to New Jersey and staked out the Edgewater complex.

They’re still looking for a third man — Pittsfield resident Carlton Rose, also 18 — who they said was involved. Others may be arrested and charged, including the driver of the getaway car, police in Pittsfield said.

The victim, who suffered gunshot and stab wounds, has since been discharged from the hospital, according to the Berkshire (Mass.) Eagle.
