The two — one 39, the other 38, both of Cliffside Park — told police they were walking along Palisade Avenue near Columbus Place around 10 o’clock Sunday night when three black men came up and demanded money.
“They started punching and kicking the two, knocking them down,” Detective Capt. Michael Russo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT. “Then one of them pulled out a knife and poked the guy in the back. They took off with no proceeds.”
The victim turned out to have a superficial wound, for which he was treated at Palisades General Hospital in North Bergen, Russo said.
