The clerk at the Anderson Avenue mini mart told police that the thin, dark-skinned robber came in shortly after she opened around 7 a.m. and pointed a black handgun at her.

He then slammed it on the counter several times, demanding money in a clear voice without accent, she said.

She handed over the cash and he fled with it, Lt. Thomas Ingenito told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

She wasn’t injured, he said.

Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage from the store.

They described the robber as about 6 feet tall, with dark eyes and wearing a light grey hooded sweatshirt, baggy sweat pants, a ski mask and light blue gloves.
