The 27-year-old victim was jumped on Columbus Place by two men wearing dark clothing just before 3:30 a.m. April 15, Cliffside Park Lt. Thomas Ingenito told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this afternoon.
The muggers kicked him after he fell, then took his wallet, which contained $1,000, Ingenito said.
After reviewing video surveillance from local businesses, Detective Sgts. Sean Mackay and Michael Giampietro identified Waleed Abdouni, 18 (top, left), and 20-year-old Edwin Chicas as suspects.
Mackay and Giampietro brought both in separately for questioning last night, then charged each with strong-armed robbery, aggravated assault, theft and conspracy.
They were being held on $50,000 bail each.
