“It’s not technically a hit and run,” Detective Capt. James Sepp told CLIFFVIEW PILOT after reviewing surveillance video of the incident.

“She was standing in the middle of the street and went straight down, then got back up,” Sepp said.

“He walked her from the street to the curb, they talked a bit and she walked away from him. He walked to his car and stood there awhile. Then he got back in and left.”

The woman seemed OK but was taken to Holy Name Medical Center after complaining of a sore hip following the 2:30 p.m. incident on Main Street.

Sepp said police would still like to talk with the driver of the red/maroon Honda CRV just to close the loop on their reporting.
