CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. -- Valentina Maria Stancu, a resident of Cliffside Park, died Friday, Feb. 19. She was 88.
Before retiring she had worked as a geological engineer.
She is survived by her husband Constantin Stancu; children Roxana Cuculescu-Begg, Constantin Stancu and his wife Loana; sister Dr. Cornelia Balteanu; grandchildren Oana, Ana-Maria and Lara; and great-grandchildren Valentina and Cecilia.
There will be a funeral at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home 495 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park,then to Ascension Greek Orthodox Church in Fairview, where a funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington.
The family will receive their friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday.
