John N.Gaeta, 91, Of Cliffside Park

CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. -- John N. Gaeta, a resident of Cliffside Park, died Thursday, Jan. 21. He was 91.

In 1943, Gaeta joined the Army Air Corp. during World War II.He was assigned to the 450th Bomb Group in Manduria, Italy. His awards include the Presidential Unit Citation, the European African Middle Eastern Campaign with 9 Battle Stars, the WWII Victory Medal and the U.S. Army Good Conduct Medal.

He is survived by John Gaeta and his wife Grace and Anthony Gaeta and his wife Pat; grandchildren Cynthia Barone, John T. Gaeta, Gina Rotondo, and Jennifer Ortiz; great-grandfather of seven; several nieces and nephews; and many grand nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, his brothers Rocco and Eugene and sister Rose Modica.

There will be a funeral at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at McCorry Brothers, 780 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park.

There will be a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Grace Church, 395 DeLano Place, Fairview. Entombment to follow at Fairview Mausoleum, Fairview.

Visiting hours are from 5-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
