EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Lifelong East Rutherford resident Jenny Saffioti passed away Sept. 21. She was 88.
A parishioner of East Rutherford’s St. Joseph’s Church, Saffioti was a homemaker who served as a lunch room aid at Carlstadt Public School before retiring in 2010.
Saffioti is survived by daughters Joni Martin and her husband John, Joseph Saffioti and girlfriend Jessica, Thomas Saffioti and his wife Jo Anne, and Linda Ferrara and her husband Salvatore; grandchildren Jen Rose, Juliana and her husband Bobby, Kasey and her husband Dan, Joe, Frank, Katlen, Theresa, Nicole, Samantha and Salvatore Anthony and his wife Mariangela; as well as great-grandchildren Taylor Rose, Jaclynne, Kenzi, Abby, Lilly, Isabelle, Delila and Amelia.
Saffioti also is survived by her twin sister Mildred Rigoloso; her brothers in-law Tony, Tom, Donald, John and her sisters in-law, Nancy, Honey, Gerry and Marilyn along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Saffioti was preceded by her parents Mary and Adam Aluise; sisters Katherine and Rose; brother William; and her husband of 68 years John.
The family is asking memorial donations to be made to the Carlstadt/East Rutherford Lions Club, P.O. Box 73, East Rutherford 07073.
