Geese Gassing Comes To End In Edgewater

EDGEWEATER, N.J. — Few geese remain in Edgewater, which is why the borough did not renew its contract with the U.S. Department of Agriculture for its culling program, NJ.com reports.

Seven birds were killed last year, a significant decrease from four years ago when 100 were killed, the article says.

A petition to stop the gassing of the geese amounted more than 5,000 signatures.
