Keith Van Horn, who lived in Franklin Lakes, turns 40 Friday.
Van Horn, a retired NBA player, was born Oct. 23, 1975.
The Philadelphia 76ers drafted Van Horn with the second-overall pick in the 1997 NBA Draft and promptly traded the University of Utah basketball player to the New Jersey Nets.
Van Horn played for five seasons in New Jersey before closing out his 11-year career with the 76ers, New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks and Dallas Mavericks.
He finished with 16.0 points-per-game in his career and was a Western Division champion with the Mavericks in 2006 during his final season.
