Bogota's Westminster Dog Show Winner Retires From The Ring

BOGOTA, N.J. — A world-renowned dog has officially retired from the ring, his Bogota owner announced on Facebook after one last weekend win.

Humphrey, owned by Lizka and Jose Baez, won Select Dog at the 2017 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show for Dogue de Bordaux. 

Last year, he and his sister Scarlett had a record-breaking win when Humphrey earned "Best in Breed" and Scarlett took home "Best in Opposite Sex."

Humprhey's final medal came on May 8, when he won Group Fourth at the Trenton Kennel Club's Annual Dog Show. Scarlett won Best of Opposite Sex.

"[Four] years ago you came into our lives and completely changed our world." Lizka posted on Facebook. 

"You brought joy, happiness, laughter but most importantly unconditional love. Many criticized you, but yet you accomplished more than many ever will.

"Happy Retirement to GCHS I AM HUMPHREY BOGART DE LA TOUR GELEE."
