The dogs were set to be euthanized as of 8:30 a.m., Monday morning. With help from a rescue partner, the organization was able to transport the dogs from Virginia, in time to give them a second chance.

Among the dogs rescued were five puppies and their mother. All 16 dogs require intensive vetting.
