Mother Organizes Autism Awareness Event In Edgewater

EDGEWATER, N.J. — My Kinder Club in Edgewater will kick off Autism Awareness Month with a party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 9.

The event is being organized by North Bergen mother Jennifer Perez, who runs the event company "Perez Play." There will be cosplay, magic, face painting, arts & crafts, and a variety of other autism-friendly events. Admission is $15, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting "Autism New Jersey."

"We want people in the area to take notice of April being Autism Awareness Month, and I thought a party would be the perfect thing," said Perez. "This is a fun way to bring awareness to a great cause."
