Cliffside Prepares Area Residents To Help Prevent Fires

EDGEWATER, N.J. -- McDonald's of Edgewater and the East Bergen Firemen's Mutual Aid Association are having a fire safety event for area residents at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Edgewater Commons, 549 River Road.

The Fort Lee Fire Safety House is one of the many demonstrations planned in Edgewater.

In case of rain, the event will be Thursday.

The event will include discussions on how smoke and carbon monoxide detectors save lives, how to create emergency plans in the home, a visit from the Fort Lee Fire Safety House members and their trailer and equipment and vehicle demonstrations.

There also is an opportunity to meet Ronald McDonald.
