In its 11th year of helping those in need, Chiropractic Healthcare Associates & Doctor's Choice Physical Therapy at HealthOne on Bergen Boulevard in Ridgefield is collecting edibles for the Center For Food Action in Englewood.
“We do it to help out those who, believe it or not, don’t have enough food for the holidays,” said Dr. Michael Errichiello, a chiropractor who operates the business with his partner, Dr. Vineta Zalite.
Errichiello has worked in the industry more than 35 years and is continuing a tradition that he started at his previous office in Palisades Park.
He and Zalite are offering the free promotion, valued at $195, through Dec. 14.
Patients may then discuss further healthcare options to address their needs.
"We hold onto the food for after Thanksgiving because most food drives give the food in for Thanksgiving, and then they start to run out," Errichiello said. "But we wait until around Christmas.”
Going into this weekend, the office had collected two dozen or so bags of items.
The doctors are hoping there's much heavier lifting in their future.
