Primarily comprised of ground beef and spices, Lahmajoon is what's known as "Armenian Pizza." It's the most popular item for the Armenian Market.
Arenie specializes in authentic Armenian foods. Going so far to import many of their items from Armenia.
"It’s rare that there are Armenian imports. There’s some from Turkey or the region but not Armenia itself," manager Kamila Delponte said.
The dedication to authentic goods means the market has many unique items and many dedicated customers.
"When they know it’s an Armenian store with Armenian owners they prefer to shop here," Delponte said.
She continued to say that some customers come from Rockland county or New York City just for their items.
Arenie is located at 575 Anderson Avenue in Cliffside Park.
