A 25-year-old man from South Jersey has been indicted in a crash that killed an 8-year-old boy from Philadelphia last summer, authorities said. Edward W. Johnston, of Galloway Township, was charged with aggravated manslaughter after an investigation found he struck a parked vehicle with the boy in it, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said on Wednesday, Jan. 10. DUI Driver Sentenced In Fatal Crash That Killed Teenager In South Jersey
A 55-year-old somen from South Jersey has been sentenced to eight years in New Jersey State Prison in connection with a fatal DUI crash that killed a teenage driver, authorities said. Wanda Sprague of Pemberton Township had been drinking att a Browns Mills bar before the 2021 collision, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw. Sprague was driving without headlights and over 90 mph at the time of the fatal head-on crash, Bradshaw said. Firefighter, Police Officer Recklessly Drove Fire Truck In Double-Fatal NJ Crash: Prosecutor
A 29-year-old firefighter and police officer from Camden County has been arrested and charged with two counts of vehicular homicide in the deaths of a Pine Hill man and woman, authorities said. On Thursday, July 28, John Gibson, of Lawnside, also was charged with operating a vehicle recklessly -- a fire truck -- in the deaths of 68-year-old John Bishop and 75-year-old Marie Endicott, they said. State Police ID Driver Killed On I-295 In South Jersey
Authorities have released the name of a Camden County man killed when his car struck a concrete barrier in Salem County. Anthony Joy Jr., 58, of Pine Hill, was driving a Nissan Sentra south on Interstate 295 in Carneys Point Township shortly before 8 a.m. on March 20, according to Trooper Charles Marchan, a New Jersey State Police spokesman. In the area of milepost 1.3 the Nissan struck a curbed median and concrete barrier, Marchan said. Joy was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
