'Game Changer' Road Expansion Project Moves Forward In Ocean County
Ocean County is helping one town improve traffic on one of its busiest roads, officials said. South New Prospect Road in Jackson will get major upgrades to improve traffic flow and safety, township officials announced on Wednesday, Feb. 7. The county has agreed to move forward with a plan to add an extra southbound lane on the two-lane road. 'Labor Of Love:' NJ Town Bringing New Life To Historic Russian Immigrant Property
An Ocean County township is looking to bring a new purpose to an area rich with history for Russian immigrants. Jackson Township is moving forward with redevelopment at the former site of Rova Farms. Mayor Michael Reina announced the 2024 kickoff for the project on Friday, Jan. 19. Rova Farms was developed in 1932 by the Russian Consolidated Mutual Aid Society of America (ROOVA), according to a historical roadside marker.
